By order of the Kern County Board of Supervisors, on 1/1/95 the County Clerk-Registrar of Voters was combined with the Auditor-Controller office.

The Registrar of Voters' Responsibilities include

• Conducting county-wide federal and state, city, school, and special district elections
• Maintaining master voter list, precinct records and maps
• Maintaining candidate/committee campaign contribution/expenditure statements and election documents

Elections Division Mission and Values

The mission of Kern County Elections is to facilitate a transparent voting process with access for all that is aligned with the freedoms of an open and just electoral process that is the fabric of our Democracy in the United States of America.
