POLL WORKER JOB DESCRIPTIONS
What are the different Poll Worker positions?
Poll workers work together as a team to help voters at their poll site. All volunteers who work at the
polls are known as Election Officers.
Different positions include:
Clerk

Set up poll site

Set up accessible ballot marking device(s)

Help voters find correct table or site
-
Regular inspection of the poll site- inside and out

Site reconciliation and certification

End of night packing of supplies
Inspector
(all clerk duties plus)

Contact Clerks at your table to make sure they are ready to work

Supervise and assign duties to Clerks

Coordinate with Site Supervisor or Supervisor/Inspector

Fill vacancies on Election Day
Supervisor/Inspector
